Overview:

As a Hydro Excavation Branch Manager at Porta Kleen, you will lead all aspects of branch operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused service delivery. This role is critical in driving branch performance, overseeing financial accountability, fostering team development, and managing client relationships in a fast-paced, 24/7 industrial service environment.

What you’ll do as an employee at Porta Kleen:

• Oversee daily operations of the hydro excavation branch, ensuring alignment with Porta Kleen safety standards and company policies.
• Lead and support operations through employee training, development, and performance management.
• Drive profitability by managing branch budgets, capital expenditures, and full P&L accountability.
• Collaborate with the sales team on pricing, bids, customer outreach, and regional growth strategies.
• Supervise operational execution through your Operations Manager, ensuring workforce and equipment are effectively scheduled and deployed.
• Regularly engage with jobsites, employees, and clients to maintain high service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Foster a strong working relationship within a union environment and ensure compliance with labor agreements.
• Provide 24/7 branch oversight including emergency response readiness, balancing manpower and equipment logistics.

What you’ll need:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field.
• 5–7 years of management experience, preferably in construction, oil/gas, or industrial services.
• Strong leadership in human resources functions including hiring, coaching, and employee relations.
• Experience managing operations across geographically dispersed locations.
• Knowledge of industrial equipment and mechanical systems, with multitasking and project management skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to work extended hours and be available for emergency response support.
