Administrative Office Manager

The Guernsey County Veteran Service Office and Commission is seeking an Administrative Office Manager

Status: Full Time Hours: M-F 8:00 a.m. --- 4:00 p.m.

Veteran Services Mission:

Provide advice and assistance to Veterans and their dependents to obtain benefits from federal, state and local agencies.

Duties:

• This position entails greeting clients, scheduling transportation of Veterans for VA medical appointments, assist with processing financial assistance applications, provide Veterans with Veterans ID cards, assist in locating and obtaining military documents, maintain accurate up to date financial records and recording transactions, manage accounts payable/ receivable, reconciling bank statements and process payroll.

Necessary Skills Knowledge and Abilities:

• Knowledgeable of local social service systems and community resources
• Work experience in managing budget and accounting procedures
• Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills
• Skilled in computer programs
• Must pass and maintain required background investigation
• Ability to multi task in an ever changing environment
• Neat professional appearance to properly greet the public and represent the Guernsey County Veterans Service Office
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, Veterans, their dependents, community organizations and general public

Qualifications:

• Must have prior experience in an office environment with budgeting and accounting
• Must have a valid Ohio Driver's License If you are a Veteran, you must have an Honorable Discharge. If you are not a Veteran, you must be an immediate family member of an Honorably Discharged Veteran.
