Meat and Deli Clerk
Job Summary:
Summit Fine Meats is a family-owned butcher shop serving the Anderson Township community for over 40 years. We are looking for a customer service focused individual who is interested in working in a fast-paced, fun, and unique work environment. If you enjoy working with food, people and take pride in always delivering the highest quality product while having a positive attitude we want to talk to you.
The ideal candidate must be at least 18 years old. Handling meat and working cash register. Knowledge is a plus but willingness to learn is a must. This is an entry level position.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide a high level of customer service.
- Must be willing to learn about products so that they can answer customer questions.
- Must be willing to learn how to use a commercial meat grinder and other equipment necessary to perform the job.
- Will be tough to operate deli slicers to fulfill customer orders.
- Maybe asked to use knives to cut chicken and other retail cuts from fresh case.
- Maintain proper case and display conditions, including cleaning, stocking, straightening and rotation.
- Maintain proper sanitary conditions, including cleaning and sanitizing of all work surfaces, utensils and equipment.
- Control quality of product to conform to company standards.
- Must dress according to company policy and maintain a neat, clean appearance always.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
