Summary

The Manager, Sales Development & Enablement is responsible for driving prospecting and sales growth for our Business Development and other small-market sales teams; managing a hands-on training program that facilitates early and ongoing sales career development; and overseeing Asurint-wide sales enablement initiatives such as onboarding, ongoing sales training, and the rollout of key sales processes.

Responsibilities

  • Leads prospecting efforts and oversees growth initiatives for Asurint's small-market sales sector.
  • Leads a structured early-career, small-market sales training program (Sales Academy) to successfully ramp and promote entry-level sellers into mid-market roles.
  • Owns new hire onboarding plan for sales roles and tracks performance and promotion readiness of early-career team members.
  • Manages and coaches Business Development Representatives in new business lead generation and qualification tactics.
  • Partners with Sales Leadership and Revenue Operations to deliver enablement programs aligned to new product launches, sales process changes, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Delivers refresher training and ongoing skills development for the entire Sales organization.
  • Drives pipeline generation in partnership with Sales, Revenue Operations, Marketing, and Partner channels.
  • Assists team in maintaining client relationships, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Partners with the Client Implementation team to ensure smooth customer handoffs.
  • Monitors and holds team accountable on daily and weekly sales activity metrics.
  • Provides ongoing coaching, call reviews, and career mentorship.
  • Other duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Experience leading at the departmental level is preferred.
  • Experience hitting sales pipeline targets is required.
  • Experience building, coaching, and motivating sales teams is required.
  • Experience using technology to analyze and report sales metrics is required.
  • Experience in B2B sales practices and pipeline development is required.
  • Experience with background screening is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required. Relevant business management systems such as general ledger, HRIS, CRM, etc. is preferred. Salesforce is required.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications or licensure: If you do any work-related driving while at Asurint, a driver's license and ability to maintain a driving record that is satisfactory to the company's liability insurance carrier is required.
  • Years of relevant experience: 5 or more years is preferred.
  • Years of experience supervising: 1 to 3 years is preferred.

Working Conditions

  • The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of offices, including the need for general safe workplace practices with office equipment and computers, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire regulations.
  • This position is performed remotely within the United States or in an office setting in the Cleveland, Ohio headquarters, although off-site meetings in various settings may occur.
  • Inside Asurint's office environment, the noise level is usually quiet to moderate.
  • In a remote setting, the employee is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure work environment, for arranging the off-site workspace in an ergonomically sound manner, and for maintaining standard Internet speeds in order to work effectively.
  • In a remote setting, the employee is required to ensure that all equipment and records that are the property of Asurint but have been relocated to the off-site workplace, are maintained in a safe and secure manner and are used only for business purposes.
  • The schedule is generally normal Eastern Time Zone business hours (unless otherwise communicated based on position or working location), although the employee may be required to perform work, attend meetings and events before or after normal workings hours, and occasionally on weekends and evenings.
  • Some travel by personal automobile and a valid driver's license may be required. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Ability to lift light objects (less than 20 pounds) and carry them short distances (20 feet or less) is required.
