Position Summary
Location: Cincinnati, OH
EQM is seeking an entry-level Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our Cincinnati team. This role blends technical expertise in environmental science, hands-on fieldwork, and customer service to support clients throughout the entire compliance process.
The successful candidate will have 0-2 years of experience in environmental compliance, along with a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Environmental Studies, or a related field. This is not a traditional laboratory or research position-this role emphasizes regulatory compliance, fieldwork, and direct client engagement. You will work with clients from initial site assessments through project completion, building strong relationships and delivering accurate, high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a client-facing representative, building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Support clients through the compliance process, from initial assessments to final reporting.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, sampling, and other field activities.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret environmental data to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Prepare accurate technical reports, permits, and compliance documentation.
- Provide clear feedback and regulatory guidance to clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver effective, client-focused solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in environmental compliance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to balance office and field responsibilities.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Customer-service mindset and proven ability to build positive client relationships.
