Job Details

Accountant

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with 4–7 years of accounting experience to join our team. This role will focus on general accounting responsibilities while also supporting cost and inventory functions within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong technical skills, an eye for process improvement, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including month-end and year-end close activities.

Assist with cost accounting tasks, such as analyzing variances, reviewing standard costs, and reconciling inventory accounts.

Perform balance sheet and P&L analysis, providing variance explanations to management.

Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.

Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.

Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate recording of manufacturing transactions.

Participate in audits by preparing schedules and providing supporting documentation.

Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or progress toward certification preferred.

4–7 years of accounting experience, with at least some exposure to manufacturing or cost accounting.

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.

Proficiency in ERP systems (experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar preferred) and advanced Excel skills.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
