A brighter future is possible with you . Job Summary Our Energy Division team is currently seeking a paid Chemical Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 (May 18 - early Aug) . This position is for hourly work, up to 40 hours per week, beginning in May 2026. This position is onsite located at our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. The application deadline is February 1, 2026. Responsibilities- Follow established test procedures to conduct laboratory and pilot scale testing
- Draft test plans, specify, assemble and operate laboratory and bench scale test equipment
- Generate, capture, analyze, and report defensible technical data
- Perform modeling to support process design and scale-up
- Support research for the evaluation of new technologies including recovery of rare earth elements, carbon capture, hydrogen technologies, and chemical processing.
- Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an ABET-accredited Chemical Engineering program with at least 18 months of college experience completed
- Related work experience (paid or unpaid) in the engineering discipline
- Experience working in a lab environment, including preparing, conducting, and documenting tests
- Experience with ChemCAD or Aspen modeling software
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and eagerness to take on technical challenges
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Excel and PowerPoint
- Physical requirements necessary
- Must be US person as defined by US export laws
