Driver The Driver will be responsible for safely transporting residents to various locations using company vehicles. The Perks of Working with Us * Competitive pay plus comprehensive benefits (available day one of your first full month of employment) * Generous PTO package, including your birthday as a paid holiday! * Medical, dental and vision insurance * 401k with company match * Employee assistance program Top Reasons to Work with Us * Family-owned and operated management company * Team approach to work * Smaller by design – Vantage Point is not a big national chain and that means more corporate involvement and support of the team * Make a difference in the lives of those who live with us Description of responsibilities: * Drives vehicle from community area to destination according to assigned schedule. * Assists disabled passengers into and out of vehicle. * Secures passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during the trip. * Secures walkers to restraining devices to prevent movement during the trip. * Operates radio, cell phone or pager to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service. * Maintains all community vehicles in good working condition. * Cleans and services vehicles with fuel, lubricants, and accessories. * Assists with vehicle registration and license plates renewal process. * Inspects and documents vehicle condition on a monthly and per trip basis. * Meets all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements. * Provides miscellaneous pick-up and delivery services as needed. * Perform other duties as assigned Required experience: * High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Current driver’s license is required with an acceptable driving record in accordance with Federal Department of Transportation regulations. Required skills: * Customer service experience preferably in a senior living environment * Ability to communicate effectively * Ability to react calmly in an emergency * Organization skills and good time management * Knowledge of local area including traffic patterns Who Is Vantage Point Retirement Living?
