Job Posting: Locum - Nurse Practitioner - Trauma Surgery, Robbinsdale, MN!

Job Details:

Reports to Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons

• Average Number of Patients Per Day: 5-20
• Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery preferred; will consider Critical Care experience - NO new grads
• Patient Demographic: Adult and Geriatric
• EMR System: Epic
• This will include OR Call and ICU/CVICU Call
• Coverage needs: April - July
• Current open dates:
• 4/6/26 at 7 am to 4/13 at 7 am
• 4/20/26 at 7 am to 6/1/26 at 7 am

Required Duties and Procedures:

Assist in Surgery – Not required
Write Prescriptions

Coordination of Care

Rounding

Interpret Tests

Order Test

Vein Harvesting

Retrieval of Vascular Tissues for Use as a Bypass Conduit – Not required

Required of the APP:

• Responding to the ED for Trauma Alerts
• Facilitating Discharges
• ER Admissions
• Daily rounding and management of all conditions- we do not use hospitalists. need to be fully able to be attending on all patient conditions

Additional Required Procedures/Responsibilities:

*Site is willing to consider Surgical NP candidates* - Yes

Credentialing timeframe is 60-90 days; Temporary privileges potentially in 45 days

Submission Requirements

• Board Certified (ANCC, AANP) - [REQUIRED]
• OH State License – [Preferred] (willing to consider providers needing to obtain an OH license only if it can be acquired quickly)
• ACLS – [REQUIRED]
• COVID Vaccination – [REQUIRED]
• Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery experience – [Preferred] (Critical Care experience may be considered; NO new grads – REQUIRED)
• A Self-Query NPDB report is required at the time of presentation (Should be pulled within 30 days) - [REQUIRED]
• Availability for specific open dates – [REQUIRED]

Certification Requirements

• ACLS
• ATLS
• Board Certified
