We are looking for a motivated Machinist Trainee to learn the fundamentals of machining.

Machinist Trainee Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $17.00 to $18.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• Second Shift ( Monday through Thursday from 04:00pm to 02:30am )

• Set up and operate Acme machines involving intricate tooling and a wide range of operations.
• Assist in devising methods of machining new and difficult jobs.
• Regrind special recess tools and other high speed and carbide special tooling.
• Diagnose and correct problems quickly and efficiently.
• Make programming and job improvements.
• Maintain acceptable production rates as documented in the process instructions.
• Perform other duties as requested

Machinist Trainee Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Prior manufacturing experience is helpful
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent

• Applicant may be subject to a background check
