Senior Adult Program Coordinator

Expectations of Employees:

  • Insure the highest quality of programs and services and possess a working knowledge of agency programs and services
  • Represent the agency and provide the highest quality of customer service to the individuals and groups with whom you come into contact
  • Treat fellow staff and MJCC consumers with respect
  • Responsible for coming to work neat and clean and in proper attire.
  • Wear Mandel JCC Staff ID badge and attend appropriate staff meetings

Essential Functions:

  • Develops and coordinates programs and activities for the senior population of the JCC
  • Answers phone and provide assistance to caller. Handles complaints and concerns in a professional manner
  • Maintains SAM's database- input transportation logs, input one way trip mileage, gas logs, repair logs and help prepare monthly/quarterly reports
  • Maintains files and records for grant compliance.
  • Keeps petty cash records and requests additional money as needed
  • Prepares and reconciles daily cash deposits.
  • Assists Supervisor and staff in grant reporting and compliance.
  • Creates spreadsheets and other documents that will be utilized for reporting requirements.
  • Provides technical assistance as needed.
  • Maintains supply inventory and orders new supplies as needed for the kitchen and for the office.
  • Creates and maintains records and data bases for department.
  • Provides excellent customer service in responding to concerns and inquiries with both internal and external customers.
  • Coordinates with Supervisor to schedule speakers for clients.
  • Satisfactory completion of Board of Health Person in Charge or Serv Safe training program
  • Completes monthly check requests and payroll timesheets for kitchen staff.
  • Maintains transportation logs and vehicle inspection forms.
  • Monitors and coordinates volunteer services
  • Assists with program and activity outings when required

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assists in kitchen as needed.
  • Assists Supervisor with ad hoc reporting and other duties as assigned
  • Assist in programming

Qualifications:

  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills
  • Experience working with the elderly population
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, Print shop Deluxe
  • Minimum 3 years administrative/secretarial experience
  • High School diploma, some college preferred

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None

Work Environment:

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and or push up to 40 pounds; assist elderly clients.
