Industrial Welding Technician - GTAW/GMAW

Your Impact

You’ll be the go-to expert for restoring and building critical components. From operating automatic welding machines on repetitive runs to executing precise TIG welds and aluminum brazes on delicate parts, you’ll ensure quality, reliability, and safety on every job.

What You’ll Do

• Weld and braze broken tools, machine parts, jigs, and fixtures using the correct process (GTAW, GMAW, oxy-acetylene, and others as needed).
• Run automatic welding machines safely and efficiently.
• Execute TIG welding and aluminum brazing with high precision.
• Set up work from drawings and fixtures; choose weld order to minimize distortion.
• Verify leak-tight integrity and perform the final inspection of your own work.
• Maintain bench stock, housekeeping, and safety in your area.
• Apply basic machining and mechanical assembly skills.
• Support other production and maintenance tasks as assigned.

Must-Haves

• Certified Welder.
• High school diploma or GED; trade/technical schooling preferred.
• Familiarity with welding techniques, metal fabrication, and print/blueprint reading.
• Strong hand skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Proven judgment and a safety-first mindset.

Preferred Experience

• 1–3 years in welding/fabrication.

Physical Demands & Environment

• Lift up to 50 lbs; push/pull up to 70 lbs.
• Stand for long periods; frequent bending/twisting.
• Work in a machine shop setting with possible exposure to dust, sand, and dirt.
• PPE usage is required at all times.
