Salary: $17-$18 per hour

New Day My Way, LLC is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist our residential individuals, with developmental disabilities, in attending medical appointments.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

-Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring accurate documentation in compliance with DODD regulations.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation, particularly for those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Conduct patient observation to identify any changes in behavior or health status, reporting findings to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to all safety protocols within residential settings.

Qualifications
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and vital sign monitoring is essential.
- Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to DODD regulations at all times.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including evenings or weekends if required.

This position requires you to be able to work in Austintown, Youngstown, Warren, Niles, Howland and other surrounding areas.

This is a Full-Time position working closely with our Nurse to ensure all medical needs are addressed at appointments.

Requirements

• Valid High School Diploma or GED*
• Valid Drivers License*
• Less than 6 points on your Drivers License*
• Valid vehicle insurance*
• Personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• Eligible to work in the US.
• Must be able to pass a Background Check
• Must pass the 7 Database Checks

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Rotating weekends
• Weekends as needed
