Position : Mowing Technician
Location : Rocky Gardens Landscape Group in Beloit, Ohio
Reports To : Crew Leader / Maintenance Manager

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing on residential and commercial properties.
• Use lawn care equipment such as mowers, trimmers, edgers, and blowers safely and effectively.
• Follow the Crew Leader’s direction and work as part of a team to ensure the completion of tasks within the assigned time frame.
• Ensure all work is done to meet or exceed company quality standards and customer expectations.
• Maintain and clean equipment after use to ensure it remains in good working condition.
• Report any equipment malfunctions, job-related issues, or safety concerns to the Crew Leader.
• Assist with the transportation of equipment to and from job sites.
• Communicate effectively with clients, maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.
• Help maintain job site cleanliness by picking up debris and ensuring no damage is done to the property.
• Work in a safe manner by adhering to all company safety policies and using personal protective equipment when required.
• Assist in other landscaping tasks as assigned, including leaf removal, weeding, and mulching.

Requirements :

• Previous experience in lawn care, landscaping, or grounds maintenance is preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate lawn care equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers) safely and efficiently.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Must be able to perform physical labor and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Good communication skills and the ability to interact with clients in a professional manner.
• Valid driver’s license preferred but not required.
• Must be reliable and punctual, with a positive attitude toward the work.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Landscaping or horticulture knowledge is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of lawn care best practices.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, when needed.

Compensation :
Hourly wage based on experience, with opportunities for overtime and performance-based bonuses.
