Job Title: Warehouse Coordinator (Brewery Logistics + Inventory)
Location: Market Garden Brewery – Ohio City (Cleveland)
Schedule: Full-time, hourly (some flexibility needed for deliveries/shipments)

About Us

Market Garden Brewery is a production brewery and hospitality campus in Ohio City. We’re growing, adding equipment, improving systems, and tightening up how we plan, store, and move inventory. This role is a chance to run the “home base” of the operation—warehouse flow, accuracy, and execution—without the feel of a big-box warehouse environment.

Position Summary

The Warehouse Coordinator owns the daily logistics of the brewery: receiving raw materials, organizing storage, staging for production, and accurately fulfilling all outbound shipments and transfers. This is a high-level doer role—process, accuracy, and follow-through—built as a path into warehouse management as we grow.

Reporting & Key Relationships

• Reports to: Chief Operating Officer (inventory controls, purchasing coordination, space planning, systems)
• Works closely with: Brewing Ops (production needs), Packaging (materials readiness + finished goods flow), Maintenance (priorities + equipment care), Sales/Marketing (shipments/allocations), Taproom (retail transfers/depletions), restaurant/campus storage coordination, and Accounting/Controller functions for inventory reconciliation.

What You’ll Own & Drive Success at:

Warehouse Ownership

• Keep warehouse + cooler organized, labeled, and easy for others to follow
• Maintain FIFO/FEFO rotation discipline and clear location standards
• Keep areas clean, safe, and “audit ready” (no debris buildup, doors closed, pallets stored correctly, pest prevention mindset)

Receiving

• Receive all inbound materials/supplies; verify counts/condition; put away correctly
• Document issues and coordinate credits/returns
• Ensure returns are handled correctly (destroyed vs re-entered into inventory)

Shipping, Deliveries & Transfers

• Pick/pack/stage all outbound shipments, deliveries, and internal transfers
• Use FIFO/lot awareness so older dated product moves first
• Coordinate intercompany transfers and ensure they’re recorded correctly and promptly

Staging & Production Readiness

• Work with Brewing Ops + Packaging to stage materials by SKU/run type so production doesn’t wait.
• Provide packaging line support only when scheduled/approved (this job is primarily warehouse/logistics)

Inventory Controls

• Run cycle counts on a set cadence; reconcile variances; identify root causes
• Improve systems so errors don’t repeat (process changes > band-aids)
• Provide simple weekly visibility: what’s coming in/out, space constraints, and upcoming pinch points

Beer30 Discipline (Key Priority)

• Get proficient with Beer30 purchase orders, receiving, inventory, and depletions
• Ensure warehouse-related transactions are entered correctly and on time (receiving, transfers, destroyed product, raw/packaging usage, finished goods moved to warehouse, etc.)

Forklift & Equipment Care

• Operate sit-down forklift and pallet jack safely
• Perform basic forklift care: cleaning, battery charging, adding water, coordinating service calls, and tracking staff certification/OSHA re-certification

Construction / Expansion Readiness

• Help manage short-term disruption during cooler expansion and storage migration
• Support temporary layouts, no-fail staging zones, signage/walkways, and safe flow around contractors
• Keep inventory integrity intact through moves (every move captured in Beer30)

What Success Looks Like (First 30–60 Days)

• Beer30 receiving + inventory workflows are consistent and accurate
• Cycle counts happen on schedule and variances trend down
• Shipping accuracy improves (fewer shorts/mis-picks/missing items)
• Warehouse layout becomes cleaner, labeled, and easier for others to use.
• Production staging improves so the brewery isn’t waiting on materials

Requirements

• Strong organization and follow-through; likes systems and clean handoffs
• Comfortable on a computer daily (Beer30 + Excel/Google Sheets)
• Inventory mindset: accuracy, reconciliation, and root-cause thinking
• Proven experience operating a sit-down forklift and pallet jack (OSHA re-certification provided on-site)
• Can repeatedly lift/carry 65+ lbs and maneuver full kegs using proper tools/technique
• “Picking / order assembly” experience strongly preferred
• Preferred (not required): CDL or experience maneuvering trucks/trailers; ability to help oversee box truck operations if/when used

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
