Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry
Location: Garfield Heights, Ohio
Shift: Day Shift – 3x12-Hour Shifts
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-acuity acute care assignment in Garfield Heights, Ohio. This position is ideal for skilled telemetry nurses who thrive in fast-paced hospital environments and possess strong clinical assessment and patient care abilities.
The ideal candidate will have recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience, strong cardiac monitoring knowledge, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Perform patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Support patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care initiatives
Requirements
- Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License required
- Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
- Minimum 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required prior to travel assignments
- Current AHA BLS Certification required
- Current AHA ACLS Certification required
- NIHSS Certification required prior to start date
- Strong telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills required
- One recent leadership reference required from:
- Manager
- Assistant Nurse Manager
- Supervisor
- Director
- Charge RN
