Due to growth, a well-established manufacturer is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join their team. The Mechanical Designer will be trained by long-term employees and will work with a team of engineers to complete new equipment projects. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Design mechanical-related products from start to finish
• Monitor project timelines and ensure they are completed on schedule
• Support manufacturing with any product or technical questions
• Work with electrical engineers to finalize project specifications
• Review blueprints and utilize tape measures
• Utilize 2D and 3D software to complete design projects
• Support R&D projects and new designs
• Work on up to four design projects at a time in various stages
• Other duties as directed by management

REQUIREMENTS for the Mechanical Designer:
1. Minimum of a high school diploma with at least 1-2 years in a similar mechanical design engineering position OR a technical Bachelor’s degree with co-op experience
2. Strong mechanical aptitude
3. Experience reading blueprints and the ability to accurately read a tape measure
4. 2D and/or 3D modeling software
5. Microsoft Office

Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. OEM (original equipment manufacturer) experience
2. Design of aluminum or steel components or products

3. Inventor software

Candidates are preferred to be local to the Tiffin, OH area. There is not a relocation package available at this time.
