We are looking for a detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Blue Ash, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collection of payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position provides an excellent opportunity to collaborate with multiple departments and contribute to the company's financial health.
Responsibilities:• Generate and issue accurate customer invoices in a timely manner.
• Process incoming payments through various methods, including wire transfers, credit cards, and checks.
• Monitor customer accounts for overdue balances and initiate collection efforts as needed.
• Communicate with customers to address invoice discrepancies, payment statuses, and account-related concerns.
• Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are properly recorded.
• Prepare and update aging reports while assisting in developing effective collection strategies.
• Investigate and resolve billing issues or discrepancies in payments.
• Support month-end closing tasks related to accounts receivable.
• Maintain and update customer records in the accounting system with high accuracy.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and accounting teams to resolve account issues efficiently.• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections.
• Proficiency in accounts receivable processes and billing functions.
• Strong knowledge of collection strategies and practices.
• Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or a similar accounting system.
• Familiarity with credit management and collections procedures.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
