The Accountant is responsible for supporting the Accounting team in delivering timely, accurate, and consistent financial information that informs critical decision-making by senior management and outside consultants. This role plays an essential part in the analysis of historical and current financial data for sales tax reporting compliance.

• Sales Tax Reporting: Gather, analyze, and prepare sales tax information, utilizing historical and current financial data for senior accounting review.
• Invoice Accuracy Review : Review customer revenue invoices and subcontractor costs for accuracy and relevance of financial data.
• General Ledger Maintenance : Assist in maintaining the general ledger and conduct scheduled or ad hoc account analyses.
• Accounts Payable and Credit Reconciliation : Prepare weekly accounts payable invoices and monthly credit card reconciliations, ensuring accurate coding and entry for senior review.
• Year-End and System Knowledge : Support year-end review processes with external CPA firms, and develop expertise in Sage 100 and PVC Connect software modules to streamline data flow.

• Education and Experience : 1 to 3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management; OR 3 to 5 years of related experience without a degree.
• Accounting Background : Minimum of one year of accounting experience in a progressive organization.
• Technical Proficiency : Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced skills in MS Excel required for data analysis and reporting.
• Attention to Detail : Strong accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in financial data review and reporting.
• Analytical Skills : Ability to analyze financial information and prepare comprehensive, clear reports for senior accounting review.
