Kable Staffing is hiring a Shipping & Receiving Clerk in Cincinnati, OH. This position is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Maintain control over stock room, by issuing needed material to employees upon proper request, and to monitor quantities to be sure that needed parts do not get too low.

· Job also involves receiving incoming shipments from vendors and customers supplied inventory.

· Receive and inspect purchased items to purchase order per the purchasing procedure.

· Pick up and/or deliver documents as directed.

· Receive and issue items from stock.

· Load and unload trucks using forklift equipment and/or crane.

· Pack and prepare items and/or equipment for shipment.

· Perform cycle counts and maintain stock records as directed. Requisition purchased items to maintain minimal stocking levels.

· Maintain stockroom and work area in a clean and orderly fashion.

· Maintain records of left over or returned material.

· Other functions as directed.

· May assist in training of temporary/new employees.

REQUIREMENTS

· Basic understanding of computer operating systems and PC applications (i.e. Microsoft Office, especially Excel).

· Possess accurate data entry skills.

· High School Diploma, and/or Equivalent.

· Minimum of 2 to 3 years of practical factory experience.

· Communicate verbally and/or in writing with other employees, other departments and supervision as to work in progress, problems and/or completion.

· Be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide basic numbers.

· Be able to identify work process problems and possible solutions.

· Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Lift truck operator

· Stand for prolonged periods of time on concrete floor.

· Will be required to kneel, squat, stoop, recline, climb, crawl, and/or bend on an as needed basis.

· Must be able to adjust visual focus.

· Must be able to lift to 70 lbs. unassisted, over 70 lbs. with assistance of a lifting device.

· Communication skills.

· Traditional shop atmosphere.

· Subject to temperature variance based on season.

· Loud noise level.

· May be exposed to various fumes or smells based on job.

· Required to wear and/or use safety equipment/ devices based on position.

· Must be able to work O.T. on an extended basis up to 50-60/wk total. 2nd. shift and/or 3rd. assignments may be required.
