The Lima Family YMCA is seeking an Aquatics Director to join our team. We are looking for applicants who are available Monday through Friday and some weekends also.

Pay rate:

The beginning rate for this position is based on experience - $18 - $21 per hour.

Job Description:

The Aquatic Director is responsible for the development and implementation of safe, quality programs for members and guests. This includes coordination and supervision of swimming lessons, lifeguard/open swimming, specialty aquatics programs and CPR/First-Aid/Lifeguard training. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of an associate's degree, or three years related experience. Current lifeguard certification is required and experience in recruitment, training and development of staff and volunteers. Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent.
• Three or more years of experience in an aquatic program.
• Ability to train swim and water fitness instructors.
• Excellent communication and public relations skills.
• Computer proficient.
• Requires trainer-level certification in YMCA Swim Lessons within 90 days of employment.
• First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer certifications required.
• Current ARC or YMCA Lifeguard certification required.
