Infrastructure Engineer - Wellston, OH
OVERVIEW
This IT role provides comprehensive technical support for all plant operations, ensuring seamless functionality of critical systems and equipment across multiple locations.
The individual in this role will work toward maintaining and troubleshooting computer networks, hardware, and software; providing end-user assistance; and implementing and supporting new technologies to optimize plant efficiency. The position requires strong problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to maintenance, and the ability to collaborate effectively with plant staff and a dedicated IT team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Leadership
- Strategic Leadership – be a visible and trusted IT leader - you are the face of D&T at your location. Active involvement in projects, programs, and/or support for additional locations. Establish regular engagement with the site leadership team to ensure alignment and visibility.
- Team – embrace a One Global Team mindset. Partner with other site locations through relevant projects while developing deeper relationships.
- Project Management – as required, undertakes various project work to plan, track, and communicate IT changes. Have early awareness and engagement on approved projects that require infrastructure consultation and/or implementation.
- Vendor Management - works with external vendors and service providers to facilitate the resolution of problems to ensure business continuity.
- Technical (Disaster) Recovery – author and own the site TR plan, including all necessary execution, reviews, and testing – in partnership with the Emergency Response Plans for the site.
- Learning Mindset – demonstrate a passion for learning and self-development. Engage in continuous improvement.
- Planning – create and maintain a long-range plan and socialize the plan with Plant Leadership, influencing future investments.
Technical
- Run & Protect – ensures reliability and protection of critical systems related to local site operations, including WAN/LAN connectivity, servers, printing, and phone systems; escalation to appropriate teams where necessary to ensure issues are resolved with minimum business impact.
- Desktop Support – undertakes desktop problem management and resolution – 2nd & 3rd line technical support for site users.
- Customer Service – works closely with business users with a full understanding of business processes, acting with urgency and empathy to resolve issues.
- Problem management and Incident resolution– provides timely response to requests for support, consultancy, and issue resolution; taking ownership and escalating when required.
- Provision of business tools & knowledge – accountable for ensuring hardware lifecycles are adhered to in line with D&T recommendations. Provision of appropriate IT knowledge and guidance to users in the form of OPLs, onboarding, and knowledge transfer.
- Compliance - work closely with Compliance Teams to ensure correct processes are implemented across the site; escalate non-compliance.
- New Technology Support – collaborate with global D&T groups to implement new technologies
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or other related degree fields and 1+ year of relevant experience in a field/plant environment OR an Associate's Degree in IT or other related degrees and 3+ years of relevant experience in a field/plant environment
- Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfort in working individually and in a team environment
- Intermediate proficiency in systems and network troubleshooting, plus current desktop productivity tools
- Strong critical thinking skills to identify problems and deliver solutions to internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to provide strong results in leadership through influencing plant leadership teams and other business partners
- Proven ability to set and uphold standards
- Self-motivated with a mindset for success and strong project leadership skills to see projects through to completion
- Comfort with travel to other sites (less than 40%)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working in a warehouse or plant environment
- Desire to travel regularly to alternative locations

- International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered
Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $70100.00 - $116900.00 / Annually.
