CNC Lathe Machinist Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• 2-3 years of Machining experience
• Good with mechanics, tools, and troubleshooting
• Attention to detail, steady under pressure
• Ability to perform your own part and tool setups
• Dependable, safe, and team-focused
• Knowledge of the following equipment is strongly encouraged:
• Mazak Lathe QTN-100, QTN-250, QTN-350, QTN-450 Controls: 640T Nexus, Matrix 2, Smooth EZ
• Doosan V420T Lathe Fanuc 18T
• Manual Lathes

How You'll Spend Your Day

You'll demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in the setup, operation, and care of machinery. Adhere to dimensions and tolerances found on blueprints. Have your own tools and knowledge of inspection equipment calipers, micrometers, fixed gauges, etc. Check parts and products to make sure they pass inspection. Set up, adjust, and maintain your machine. Keep your area safe, clean, and ready to roll. Perform standard and periodic maintenance on equipment.
