Job Description

The Warehouse Order Picker is responsible for executing a range of tasks that support material flow and inventory accuracy in a warehouse environment. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and precise handling of materials, in alignment with company procedures and standards. Daily responsibilities vary but consistently demand reliability, attention to detail, and teamwork across functional areas.

Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed inspection, selection, and staging of warehouse materials to ensure accurate inventory movement.
• Consistently follow health, safety, and environmental standards outlined by company policies.
• Partner with supervisory staff to proactively identify and resolve discrepancies within receiving, replenishment, and fulfillment operations.
• Input material data and inventory movement records with precision and timeliness across operational systems.
• Execute packaging tasks such as labeling, boxing, and bagging to maintain accurate order processing.
• Sustain cleanliness and organization in work areas to support overall warehouse efficiency.
• Complete all inventory-related functions—including receiving, storing, and picking materials—in accordance with leadership directives.
• Assist with loading and unloading shipments, customer order pickups, and relocating materials as instructed.
• Use ladders occasionally to reach elevated storage areas when required.
• Accept additional assignments or department-specific tasks as delegated by leadership.

Essential Skills

• Experience with warehouse workflows, systems, and logistical processes.
• Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations.
• Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions and safety protocols.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with RF scanners and order picking procedures.
• Willingness to take on other relevant responsibilities as needed.

Work Environment

The warehouse offers a clean, well-organized, and newly renovated environment. While it is not climate-controlled, the facility is equipped with several large fans that help maintain comfort during warmer months. The site includes approximately 20 loading docks and has a staff of 40–50 employees.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilmington, DE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
