Healspace LLC and Talbot Health Services provide behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment services through evidence-based, recovery-focused care designed to support long-term wellness and meaningful outcomes. Our multidisciplinary team supports individuals experiencing substance use disorders, mental health concerns, and co-occurring conditions through individualized and compassionate treatment services.
We are seeking an experienced, clinically strong, and operationally minded Clinical Director to lead clinical programming and oversee treatment operations at our Monroe Street location.
This position serves as a key leadership role responsible for clinical oversight, staff supervision, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, program development, and supporting positive client outcomes.

Position Summary
The Clinical Director provides leadership and oversight of clinical operations and programming within an Ohio behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment setting. Responsibilities include supervision of clinical staff, oversight of treatment delivery and documentation quality, support of regulatory compliance initiatives, staff development, and ensuring services align with organizational expectations and OhioMHAS requirements.
The Clinical Director collaborates with executive leadership, medical staff, nursing teams, case management, and community partners to support high-quality, person-centered care and effective treatment operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Provide leadership and oversight of counseling, case management, assessment, and clinical programming services
- Supervise counselors, clinical staff, and treatment team personnel
- Provide clinical supervision and support for staff development and performance improvement
- Monitor clinical documentation and ensure compliance with Medicaid, payer, and OhioMHAS standards
- Support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- Assist with clinical policy development and implementation
- Monitor treatment planning, client engagement, and continuity of care processes
- Ensure compliance with ASAM criteria and placement standards
- Support accreditation, audit preparation, and regulatory readiness activities
- Participate in leadership meetings and organizational planning initiatives
- Assist with staff recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and retention efforts
- Support crisis intervention and escalation processes when needed
- Maintain a strong recovery-focused and person-centered treatment environment
Minimum Qualifications
- Active Ohio independent behavioral health licensure required including one of the following:
- LPCC-S
- LISW-S
- LICDC-CS
- IMFT-S
- Other qualifying Ohio independent supervisory credential
- Supervisory designation required where applicable
- Minimum three years of behavioral health leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Experience in substance use disorder treatment required
- Experience supervising multidisciplinary clinical teams preferred
- Knowledge of OhioMHAS requirements and behavioral health regulations required
- Strong knowledge of ASAM criteria required
- Knowledge of Medicaid documentation and payer requirements required
- Experience with electronic health record systems required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within an OhioMHAS-certified behavioral health organization
- Experience with CARF accreditation standards preferred
- Experience overseeing co-occurring treatment programming preferred
- Experience supporting detoxification, MAT, residential, or outpatient services preferred
- Strong experience with quality improvement and performance metrics preferred
