Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in manufacturing to join our team. This role focuses on supporting capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, equipment troubleshooting, PLC programming, and contractor management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with equipment installations and a practical approach to maintaining and optimizing industrial control systems.
No sponsorship. ResponsibilitiesLead and support CAPEX projects, including specifying and ordering materials, coordinating installations, and ensuring completion within budget and timeline.
Troubleshoot and maintain manufacturing equipment, focusing on PLCs, HMIs, and control systems (Allen Bradley experience preferred).
Support power distribution equipment and industrial instrumentation/controls ranging from 12V to 480V.
Manage contractors and oversee project execution to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
Perform diagnostics and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime.
Ensure compliance with all plant safety policies and procedures.
Support additional plant management activities as needed.
Skills, Knowledge, and AbilitiesStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues and make sound decisions based on data.
Proficient in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
Working knowledge of industrial and commercial control systems.
Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Practical, hands-on approach to equipment maintenance and installation, with minimal focus on design.
Qualifications Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Controls required.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience leading CAPEX projects and equipment installations.
Hands-on expertise in PLC programming, equipment troubleshooting, and control systems.
Demonstrated ability to manage contractors and oversee project execution.
Experience with power distribution and industrial instrumentation/controls.
Salary Range$110,000 - $115,000 annually, with $115,000 as the maximum.
