Welder

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder for a large scale project near Lima, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, mechanical principles, and safety standards to ensure high-quality workmanship on diverse projects. The Welder will play a vital role in supporting construction, maintenance, and manufacturing operations by delivering precise and durable welds that meet industry codes and standards. STICK/TIG experience a must!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and other welding processes to join metal parts according to project specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements.
• Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and pipe threading equipment to prepare materials for welding.
• Execute fire sprinkler fitting, pipe bending, tube fabrication, and assembly tasks with accuracy.
• Maintain compliance with ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards for pressure vessels, pipelines, and other critical components.
• Conduct routine inspections of welds using calipers, schematics, and visual testing to ensure quality standards are met.
• Support construction site activities by rigging materials safely and efficiently.
• Perform maintenance tasks including soldering, plumbing repairs, HVAC system components, and general equipment upkeep.
• Adhere to safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents on the job site or in the workshop.
• Collaborate with team members across manufacturing and construction projects to meet deadlines and quality expectations.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Welder in manufacturing or construction environments with a focus on pipeline, plumbing, or HVAC systems.
• Proficiency in MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, and related techniques.
• Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, tube bending, rigging, and assembly processes.
• Familiarity with ASME codes & standards applicable to pressure vessels and pipelines.
• Experience working on construction sites or in industrial fabrication facilities.
• Competence with hand tools, power tools, calipers, schematics, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Knowledge of safety practices related to welding operations and construction activities.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
