Ohio Nursing Job Details

• Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel RN (Locum Tenens)
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry – Gynecology & Urology Oncology
• Start Date: October 6, 2025
• End Date: January 26, 2026
• Duration: 13–19 weeks (flexible end dates: 1/10, 1/17, or 1/24)
• Shifts: 3x12-hour rotating shifts (Days: 07:00–19:30; Nights: 19:00–07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940–$1990
• Self-scheduling: Requests considered based on unit needs
• Orientation: 1 week classroom, 36 hours on-unit with preceptor

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – compact or Ohio state license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Oncology nursing experience preferred (chemotherapy administration, brachytherapy, neobladder care)
• Proficiency in telemetry, including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with EPIC electronic charting system
• Graduate of ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• 2 professional references (1 from a manager/director or formal leader)
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after contract signing
• Preferred: Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy certification

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics with gynecologic and urologic cancers
• Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions
• Participate in clinical trials and assist with data collection/documentation
• Perform specialized procedures: brachytherapy, neobladder care, continuous bladder irrigation (CBI)
• Implement infection prevention and patient falls protocols
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings; respond to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and utilize rapid response resources
• Manage feeding tubes, IV therapy, blood product administration, and central line maintenance
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes using EPIC
• Float to other Med/Surg Oncology units as needed
