SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Distribution/ Warehouse Support position maintains warehouse functionality by performing various warehouse support duties including order processing, inventory management, data entry, material storage/retrieval, and shipping and receiving responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned)
- Works to ensure that stock levels are in line with production and distribution requirements.
- Monitors the receipt and storage of materials in the warehouse.
- Monitors inventory control functions including performing cycle counts and warehouse inventory reporting.
- Maintains records of items shipped, issued, and received.
Moves and stores materials, supplies, finished goods, etc. to designated departments or areas within the facility either manually, by hand truck, or by forklift.
- Performs various general warehouse/material handling duties within the facility including loading materials, supplies, or finished products using appropriate material handling equipment.
- Stacks skids, pallets, or cartons in designated areas.
- Cleans up and disposes of scrap, cardboard, and strapping, etc. in proper containers or designated areas.
- Uses simple hand tools such as pliers, hammers, and screwdrivers, etc. to perform job duties.
- Completes required logs and records as required.
- Preparation and shipment of all outgoing product.
Enters equipment information into appropriate management information systems/records and performs shipping functions for the facility.
- Operates and uses all equipment following standard work instructions and operating procedures.
- Observes all safety rules and regulations.
- Exercises care and good judgment at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, rules, and BRG Code of Conduct.
- Practices good housekeeping by keeping storage areas and aisles clean and accessible.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

SKILLS
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Ability to effectively relate with others and cooperate as a team member.
- Ability to perform essential functions and responsibilities of the job with some supervision.
- Must be flexible.
- Careful attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group situations within the organization.
- Ability to rely on judgment for personal safety regarding work.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Sufficient hand, eye, arm, and finger dexterity.
- Must wear safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas.
- Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking while also performing repetitive tasks.
- Prolonged periods of bending and/or twisting throughout a work shift.
