Description

Hours of Job: Casual Position, Some variability in hours, No weekends or holidays

Duties and Key Responsibilities:

• Respects patients' rights to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Maintains positive interpersonal relationships with all internal and external customers.
• Assist with admission, discharge and/or transfer of patients.
• Maintains established hospital and work area policies, procedures, guest relations, safety, environmental and infection control.
• Observes patients and reports unusual conditions and/or reactions to RN, LPN, or appropriate licensed team member.
• Performs basic patient care activities. Answers call lights and responds appropriately.
• Performs routine cleaning tasks in the patient's care room during and after discharge of patient.
• Assists in the care and maintenance of work area equipment and supplies. Assist in ordering necessary weekly supplies from dietary.
• Assist in clerical duties as dictated and trained.
• Perform other duties assigned.

Requirements:

• Requires full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity, eye hand coordination, standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
• Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50-pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.

Education/Certifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

• Previous experience preferred, but not required.
