Summer Camp Coordinator
Chagrin Falls Park Community Center, Chagrin Falls, OH
Full time, 35 hours/week **This is a TEMPORARY POSITION during the summer.
$15/hour
SCHEDULE: M-F, Evenings & Weekends as needed
SUMMARY: This position provides support and facilitation of program for summer programming including training and supervising volunteers.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide guidance and role modeling to student at all times.
- Provide academic enrichment activities for students.
- Implement programs under guidance of supervisor.
- Provide proper record keeping and reporting including activities and events conducted. Monitor daily attendance and member status.
- Ensure a healthy and safe environment, supervising members in program areas at all times.
- Preparations set up and clean up of all programs.
- Maintain inventory of all program equipment and supplies, keep them in good order, and reorder as necessary.
- Participate in special programs and/or events as requested by supervisor.
- Complies with agency policies and procedures, COA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Candidate must have the ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
- Ability to monitor and provide support to students and volunteers.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. with or without assistance. Must be able to bend, stretch and stand.
- Must be able to drive offsite locations.
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability.
- Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal back ground check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation).
PREFERRED:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Knowledge or experience in human services or equivalent field.
