Job Description

We are looking for a Health Information Admin to support our client in creating and maintaining infrastructure for child fatality review teams and promoting prevention efforts. This position will be a full-time contract and remote with field travel.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with the creation of an infrastructure and communication network for fatality review teams

  • Coordinate Child Fatality/Fetal-Infant Mortality meetings

  • Administer the electronic data collection system used by local CFR teams and the statewide CFR committee

  • Coordinate statewide CFR committee activities, meetings, data collection, and report assembly

  • Establish collaborative relationships and partnerships with public and non-profit agencies, as well as individuals within the community

  • Develop a regional training network to support local and regional initiatives aimed at strengthening fatality review and prevention efforts

  • Assist with data collection through local fatality review teams and other sources

  • Collaborate with team members and participate in statewide reviews

  • Gather and maintain records and provide routine reporting of program activities

  • Support and promote DFP initiatives and participate in professional development, team building, and self-care activities

  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Strong relational and people development skills, with the ability to identify, build, coordinate, and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders in both private and public sectors

  • Ability to assist in the creation, guidance, and maintenance of CFR infrastructure and provide technical support

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to facilitate meetings and trainings

  • Willingness to gain knowledge of state and local health agencies, health communication, and health education, and the ability to communicate complex public health theories and principles

  • Ability to evaluate and interpret data

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner

  • Proven ability to collaborate with teams on joint projects

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Experience managing multiple ongoing projects while completing assignments in a timely manner

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), experience with software for data analysis, and willingness to learn National database/Salesforce data entry

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, or equivalent

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

$28 per hour

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role receive paid time off and may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
