Position Overview:
We are seeking a Data Engineer II to join our growing data and analytics team. This role focuses on building scalable data management systems, developing high-performance pipelines, and ensuring enterprise-wide data quality and reliability. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with a collaborative mindset, contributing to data architecture, integration, and advanced analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, test, and maintain data pipelines and management systems.

  • Develop and optimize algorithms, predictive models, and prototypes.

  • Ensure solutions align with business needs and industry best practices.

  • Integrate new data management and software engineering technologies into existing systems.

  • Establish processes for data mining, data modeling, and data transformation.

  • Develop custom software components and analytics applications.

  • Research and recommend new ways to leverage data for business impact.

  • Collaborate closely with data architects, scientists, and IT teams.

  • Implement and maintain disaster recovery and data resiliency procedures.

  • Continuously improve data quality, reliability, and performance.

Job requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, MongoDB, etc.).

  • Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala.

  • Strong understanding of data mining, data modeling, and algorithm development.

  • Familiarity with distributed data systems (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Hive).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
