Sales & Customer Growth Lead

My name is Tim, Cofounder/CEO at Jersey Watch. I'm looking for a new team member to join our company and lead the front lines of new customer growth. You'll be the first sales rep at our company and have lots of autonomy and responsibility.

Jersey Watch is the all-in-one software platform built specifically for youth sports organizations. Thousands of volunteer-run leagues and clubs across the country use Jersey Watch to manage their website, registration, payments, schedules, and communication — all in one place.
We're a small (you’ll be our 10th full-time team member), remote-first team that ships product fast, talks to customers daily, and takes product-led growth seriously. Most of our new organizations discover Jersey Watch, try it, and get up and running on their own. This role will exist to help customers convert faster and educate customers throughout the sales funnel from discovery to close.

As our Customer Growth Lead, you'll be the human behind our self-serve product. You'll work the top, middle, and bottom of the funnel to help ICP prospects understand how Jersey Watch fits their organization, get them to the "aha" moment quickly, and convert them into long-term paying customers.
Because our product is self-serve, the line between Sales and Customer Care is blurry. You'll spend most of your time selling to new customers, but you'll partner daily with our Customer Care team to make sure new organizations are set up for success, and you'll occasionally step in to help onboard or troubleshoot for customers you brought in.
This is a great launching pad for anyone who wants to build a career in sales and leadership. We expect our sales team to grow over the next several years, and we want this person to recruit and lead future team members.What You'll Do
- Own inbound sales. Work trial signups, demo requests, and email inquiries. Run discovery calls and product walkthroughs with league administrators, coaches, and club directors.
- Develop relationships with a wide variety of volunteer sports administrators in the US & Canada.
- Source, create, and close new customers through outbound campaigns. You’ll work with company leadership to start new outbound initiatives for our company. Finding lead lists, creating outbound email campaigns, and signing up new customers.
- Convert self-serve users. Proactively reach out to active trial accounts, identify organizations most likely to convert, and guide them through registration setup, payment configuration, and go-live.
- Sell consultatively. Understand each organization's structure (rec leagues, travel clubs, multi-sport associations) and map Jersey Watch's capabilities to their season timeline and pain points.
- Partner with Customer Care. Collaborate daily with our Customer Care team on handoffs, escalations, and shared accounts. Step in to help your customers when they need a hand early in their lifecycle.
- Feed the product loop. Surface recurring objections, feature gaps, and friction points to our product and marketing teams so we can continuously sharpen our PLG motion.
- Keep your house in order. Maintain clean pipeline hygiene in our CRM, track activity, and hit weekly and monthly activity and customer targets.
- Help shape the playbook. As the first member of our sales team, your voice will directly influence our scripts, sequences, pricing conversations, and Sales-to-Customer Care handoff process.

Who You Are
- Naturally curious and a strong listener.
- Comfortable on the phone, on Google Meet, and over email. You write clearly and you're not afraid to pick up the phone.
- Organized and self-directed. You can manage your own pipeline in a remote environment without someone looking over your shoulder.
- Empathetic and patient. Our customers are volunteers juggling day jobs, families, and kids' schedules. You meet them where they are.
- Coachable. You want feedback, act on it, and share what you learn with the team.

- Previous internship or role in sales, customer success, SDR/BDR, retail, or hospitality.
