Director of Business Development
Founded in 1960, Trans Ash is a rapidly growing civil land construction & environmental company. We are expanding and are seeking to add a Director of Business Development to work on a variety of projects with our valued customers in the utility industry. This position will be remote, but travel to our Cincinnati, OH office as well as the out-of-town construction project sites.
Pay Information:
$150,000 - $170,000 Annually, subject to skill and experience level
Quarterly Bonus

Job Description:
We are seeking a results-driven Director of Business Development to drive company growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding our customer base. The ideal candidate is a proactive, relationship-focused professional with strong market insight and a track record of achieving revenue targets.
Essential Functions:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to increase revenue and market share
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth areas
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and leadership teams to align growth strategies
- Prepare presentations and business cases for potential clients
- Track performance metrics and report on sales outcomes and forecasts
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role
Knowledge / Skills Requirements:

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., work in all types of weather for extended periods of time.
- Must be physically able to perform the work in hot and/ or cold weather conditions.
- Overnight travel to our job sites will be required at times, anticipated to be +/- 15% of workdays.
- Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine needs.
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug test, MVR, and background check.
- Must be able to work in a construction environment.
- Must be willing to work after regular business hours with work on weekends, and some holidays when necessary.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
