CDL A Orbital Equipment Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CDL vehicles (Class A & B) with air brake endorsement
• Transport loaded 20 and 40 foot Conex boxes using state-of-the-art side-loader trailers
• Independently utilize unique side-loader equipment for ground-level container moves
• Follow assigned routes and schedules, ensuring timely and safe delivery
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance
• Use technology for paperless systems and maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other relevant information
• Communicate with dispatchers and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues
• Problem-solve job site challenges to complete work safely and efficiently
• Occasional out-of-town travel required (expenses covered by the company)
• Work on a wide variety of projects and environments, including with paving and municipal contractors

Requirements

• At least 21 years old
• Valid CDL (Class A or B) with air brake endorsement
• Clean driving record
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
• Mechanical ability and construction experience are a plus
• Experience with manual transmission vehicles, dump trucks, forklifts, tilt trailers, cranes, and hydraulics is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug testing (drug-free workplace)
