Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations Assistant to support the daily operations of our hotel. The Operations Assistant will be responsible for providing excellent front desk service, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and assisting with administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, exceptional organizational abilities, front desk proficiency, and a commitment to maintaining excellent housekeeping standards. Previous experience in hospitality preferred.
Responsibilities
- Front Desk Operations : Greet guests warmly, manage check-ins and check-outs, answer phone calls, and respond to guest inquiries with professionalism and courtesy. Maintain an organized and presentable front desk area.
- Communication : Serve as a primary point of contact for guests and staff, ensuring clear and timely communication through email, phone, and in-person interactions.
- Organization : Manage schedules, coordinate appointments, and maintain accurate records and filing systems. Assist in preparing reports, correspondence, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Housekeeping : Ensure common areas, including the lobby, guest areas, and front desk, are clean, tidy, and well-maintained. Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, restocking supplies, and coordinating with housekeeping manager and staff.
- Administrative Support : Assist with data entry, inventory management, and other operational tasks to support the efficiency of the hotel.
- Guest Experience : Contribute to exceptional guest experiences by addressing guest needs promptly and maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness.
- Compliance : Adhere to all relevant regulations, company policies, and health and safety standards.
- Collaboration : Work closely with the hotel team to support operational needs and foster a positive, team-oriented environment.
Qualifications
- Education : High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in hospitality, business administration, or related field preferred.
- Experience : 1-2 years of experience in an administrative, front desk, or hospitality role. Experience in housekeeping or facilities maintenance is a plus.
- Skills :
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with hotel management software (e.g., PMS).
- Professional demeanor and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Basic housekeeping skills and attention to detail in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
- Attributes : Proactive, reliable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Availability : Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
