TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Dayton, Ohio, 45409!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1.5 years preferred License: Must possess a valid nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience with advanced care level drips - Prior experience in step-down or mixed acuity units - Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips - Willingness to float to various units as needed Description: This position involves caring for advanced care level patients. Experience with advanced care drips is required. The unit has a mixed acuity population. No holiday requests will be accepted. Travel partners are not allowed. Candidates must be able to pass an online EKG telemetry competency assessment prior to starting the assignment. The job requires floating to all step-down or advanced care units. Clinical responsibilities include working with a variety of patient diagnoses, including chest pain rule outs and stroke assessments. Targeted patient ratios are 1:4, though they may reach up to 1:5-6 depending on the needs of the unit. Team nursing may be utilized, where RNs, LPNs, and PCTs collaboratively care for a group of patients. The unit expects a quick patient turnover, with most stays lasting less than 24 hours. Travelers must work every other weekend and holiday. This position requires compliance with all established protocols and competencies.
