Mandel Jewish Day School – Beachwood, OH 10‐Month Position | Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–1:30 PM | Summers and School Holidays Off
Mandel Jewish Day School in Beachwood, OH is looking for a reliable and motivated Assistant Food Services staff member to support the daily operations of our kosher school food program. This 10-month position involves assisting with meal preparation, service, and kitchen organization while ensuring compliance with food safety. As part of a small kitchen team, this role provides direct meal service and excellent customer interaction with students and staff.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve kosher meals for students and staff
- Support food production, portioning, and meal distribution
- Receive, store, and organize food and supplies
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment
- Assist with kitchen organization
- Provide excellent customer service
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of food service experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety
- Understanding of sanitation standards
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail
- Must pass BCI/FBI background check and TD test
- Must be dependable and punctual
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Lift, carry, and stock items up to 40 lbs.
- Work in temperatures ranging from –10°ree;F to 80°ree;F
- Stamina to perform all kitchen‐related duties
