ERP Specialist

Job Description

IG's client is seeking a skilled Database & ERP Specialist to fill a critical, long-standing gap in their organization. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, systems, and operational efficiency - and who wants to help modernize and elevate a growing manufacturing/distribution business.

The client is preparing to transition from our legacy ERP system to a modern platform. This individual will play a central role in evaluating, implementing, and optimizing the new system, while also shaping the future of data management and automation across the company.

Responsibilities:

ERP Evaluation & Implementation

Partner with leadership to evaluate ERP options and support the selection process.

Lead the implementation of the new ERP system, including configuration, testing, and rollout.

Coordinate with vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition.

Data Migration & Management

Export, clean, validate, and import data from the legacy ERP system into the new platform.

Develop and maintain data governance standards to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Manage ongoing database performance, integrity, and security.

Reporting & Analytics

Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support decision-making.

Provide cross-departmental insights and help teams better utilize ERP data.

Support leadership with ad hoc data analysis and reporting needs.

Ongoing System Support

Serve as the internal subject matter expert for ERP functionality and data structure.

Train staff on new workflows, tools, and best practices.

Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with ERP support teams as needed.

Skills and Requirements

5 years of experience in database management and ERP system administration. 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or logistics industry (in roles above).

Strong understanding of ERP workflows (order processing, inventory, purchasing, invoicing).

Hands on experience with data migration, cleansing, and transformation.

Proficient in MS Excel.

Working knowledge of SQL Server.

Enthusiastic, inquisitive personality.
