Midstream Plant Operator
Infinity Natural Resources (NYSE: INR), is an oil and gas exploration and production company deeply rooted in the Appalachian Basin. Headquartered in Morgantown, WV, we are committed to responsible energy development, operational excellence, and strong environmental stewardship across our growing operations in Ohio and Pennsylvania. We pride ourselves on a collaborative work environment, a team dedicated to innovation and safety, and our strong connection to the Appalachian Basin, the region we proudly call home and operate within.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Plant Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our facility, taking ownership of the operation, monitoring, and routine maintenance of critical production and processing equipment.
As a key contributor to our expanding operations, you will balance technical expertise with a proactive mindset. You’ll work independently to execute standard operating tasks while remaining vigilant and ready to respond to abnormal conditions. Your mission is simple but vital: ensure our plant remains safe, efficient, and fully compliant every single day.
Location
Based out of our Quaker City field office, this field-based role provides critical operational oversight for compressor stations throughout Noble and Monroe Counties, OH. You will spend your time active in the field, ensuring our regional midstream assets operate safely and efficiently.
What You Will Be Doing:
As a key member of our Midstream team, you will be responsible for the reliable performance of our midstream assets. Your core focus will remain on safety, precision, and operational excellence.
Your daily impact will include:
- Core Operations: Safely operate and monitor essential plant equipment, including compressors, separators, tanks, heaters, and related production systems.
- Process Management: Perform routine startups, shutdowns, and critical operational adjustments in strict accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Performance Monitoring: Diligently track pressures, temperatures, flow rates, and levels to ensure all equipment operates within defined parameters.
- Incident Prevention: Identify abnormal operating conditions and take immediate corrective action to maintain safe, steady-state operations.
- Facility Oversight: Conduct routine inspections of plant equipment and facilities to proactively identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Technical Support: Perform minor maintenance tasks and assist with troubleshooting equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Documentation & Reporting: Ensure all pay-effecting transactions, operational logs, checklists, and shift reports are completed accurately and on time.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety, environmental, and regulatory procedures, participating in emergency response activities and incident reporting as required.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements to drive efficiency while maintaining professional relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
Your Background:
- Experience & Education: A high school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred) and 2–5 years of experience in oil and gas plant operations or processing environments.
- Operational Expertise: A solid working knowledge of midstream production equipment and the ability to operate plant systems independently under normal conditions.
- Safety & Compliance: A deep understanding of industry safety practices and the ability to meet all PHMSA and DOT criteria for safety-sensitive duties.
- Regulatory Readiness: Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to pass mandatory verification of DOT drug, alcohol, and safety records for the preceding two-year period.
- Critical Thinking: The ability to recognize abnormal operating conditions and respond with the appropriate corrective actions to ensure facility integrity.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with maintenance personnel and stakeholders, working well both independently and as part of a team.
- Detail Orientation: High level of accuracy in managing operational documentation, shift reports, and pay-effecting transactions.
- Physical Capability: The ability to perform medium physical work—including lifting up to 75 pounds—and the agility to climb, kneel, crouch, or reach for extended periods.
- Environmental Adaptability: Comfort working in outdoor plant and field environments with exposure to varying weather extremes and industrial conditions.
- Operational Flexibility: The availability to work rotating shifts, extended hours, and respond to emergency callouts or travel between facilities as required.
