Emergency Room RN Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1800 - $1840
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 12 Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Openings: 2 ER RN positions available
• Unit Description: 38-bed emergency department with 5 fast track rooms, 4 behavioral health swing rooms, 2 trauma/resuscitation rooms (high acuity, not a designated trauma facility), and an internal waiting room. Affiliated with Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital—pediatric emergency care required.

ER RN Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) or ER nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state eligibility
• Experience in pediatric emergency care and behavioral health cases
• Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday as scheduled
• Completion of all onboarding requirements, including background check, health screenings (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Influenza), drug screening, fingerprinting, skills checklist, competency exams, education and employment verification, and required certifications
• Valid Driver's License or State ID required for submission

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a busy emergency department setting
• Assess, triage, and manage patients of all ages, including pediatric and behavioral health cases
• Respond to high acuity situations, including trauma and resuscitation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Utilize behavioral health swing rooms and fast track rooms for efficient emergency care
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies and procedures
• Prioritize patient safety and adapt to the dynamic environment of emergency nursing
