Job Description

As a Security Officer Afternoon Driving Patrol in Wilmington NC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more. Join Allied Universal as a driving patrol officer at a dynamic education location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents and support students staff and visitors with strong customer service and this unarmed role you will bring reliability integrity and teamwork to each shift while helping create a welcoming environment.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to students faculty staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures location-specific policies and/or appropriate emergency response activities across an educational campus environment.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and sharing relevant information with campus contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings walkways parking areas and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points observe campus activity and report maintenance concerns suspicious behavior and/or policy violations according to site protocols.
• Support daily campus operations by assisting with directions answering questions and helping to address routine security-related concerns with professionalism and courtesy.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
