Job Summary
Loveland Excavating and Paving is a leader in Southwest Ohio in the site construction industry. We are celebrating our 30th year in business as Southwest Ohio's first and only full turn key site contractor.

We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled Senior Site Work Estimator to lead and oversee site construction projects from bid inception to completion. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your extensive construction estimating expertise to ensure projects are bid and sold within scope, and budget. Your leadership will drive collaboration across teams, including field operations, concrete operations and asphalt paving. Responsibilities

• Communicate with potential clients to determine project specific scopes of work/requirements and relay this information to the estimating team.
• Possess the ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents,

drawing specifications, scope of work documents, and project schedules.

• Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors during the bidding process to obtain the required material and services quotes to accurately assemble bids.
• Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and ensure they meet client specifications and requirements.
• As the lead estimator, delegate estimating tasks to other estimators to ensure the above referenced items are completed efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and pricing to enhance competitiveness.
• Maintain a database of historical project data for bid tracking as well as future reference and analysis.
• Ensure contract terms and conditions align with the bid proposal and project requirements.
• Assist in cost-saving initiatives and value engineering to enhance project profitability.
• Collaborate with the project management team to transition successful bids into actionable projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for the estimating process.
• Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers, working closely to develop favorable terms that align with project goals and company standards.
• Collaborate with project teams and other company divisions to develop comprehensive pricing strategies, value engineering ideas, and technical engineering techniques while ensuring adhering to the project scope and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations, safety regulations, and industry standards across multiple construction disciplines.
• Work closely with customers to ensure we are meeting their timelines, answering all questions, and providing them with information on municipal requirements for specifications.
• Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam for document management, markup reviews, and seamless communication among the customer, field and office staff.

Experience

• Proven experience in site construction estimating with proficiency in estimating software.
• Strong negotiation skills demonstrated through successful contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam for digital document review and collaboration.
• Solid understanding of cost control practices, pricing strategies, and project budgeting techniques.
• Hands-on construction site experience that provides practical insight into field operations.
• Knowledge of contracts, safety protocols, and project management methodologies essential for successful project delivery. Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
