HVAC service technician

Description

This role is responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently in the field.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of commercial HVAC systems including air-cooled chillers, rooftop units, split systems, and VRF systems.

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues using appropriate tools and techniques.

• Conduct system inspections and performance testing to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.

• Communicate effectively with customers regarding service findings, recommendations, and next steps.

• Document service activities, parts used, and system performance using digital service platforms.

• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in clean and working order.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while on job sites.

• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency service requests as needed.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of experience servicing commercial HVAC systems.

• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and refrigerant cycles.

• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must be willing to join the union if not already in it.

• Presentable with strong soft skills.

Work Environment

The position operates within a union labor market with standard hours from Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. Employees are provided with a company car, gas card, and all necessary tools for the job.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $115000.00/yr.

This is an hourly paid role. Direct placement. Guaranteed raise of $4/hr for the next 2 years. ElitAire pays fringe benefits on top of hourly pay.Company car, gas card, all tools provided.Relocation package for out of state candidates
