Engineering Intern - Service Engineering

Position Summary

The Engineering Intern gains experience in the Service Engineering Team by working with product service requirements, developing and implementing service programs, and deliverables for aftermarket support. With a focus on building an exceptional Customer Experience, this includes involvement in new product development to ensure products are designed for serviceability and service programs / support are available at product release.

What You'll Do as an Engineering Intern - Service Engineering

• Gaining real world experiences in cross functional team collaboration, innovation, and execution with an industry-leading Service team.
• Building knowledge and hands-on skills related to engineering team strategy, data driven success measures and building an exceptional Customer Experience.
• Enhancing remote monitoring and remote troubleshooting of equipment problems by building features ans solving problems within our remote monitoring platform.
• Supporting development of through data driven decision making using business intelligence tools.
• Creating engaging product release and feature update content to drive adoption of applications used by our equipment service team.
• Using our remote monitoring platform to investigate field issues and create proactive methods to detect any future component failure.
• Supporting new product development through hands-on testing, service reviews, and standard work creation.

The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed

Required:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate engineering program - computer, electrical, mechanical, or biomedical engineering preferred
• Sophomore year requirements must be completed by program start (May 2026); junior year requirements preferred

Preferred:

• Familiarity with at least one of Python, JavaScript, SQL, or another transferrable programming language
• Understanding of technical concepts (APIs, webhooks)
• Exposure to software management tools like Jira

Other:

• Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication.
• Forward thinking and excited to take on and embrace working with new technology.

Pay rate for this opportunity is $22.00-25.00 per hour.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
