Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Mechanic to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair various equipment used in the Construction Industry. You will be responsible for maintaining the company fleet, from minor leaks to major rebuilds. Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Responsibilities:

• Determine the overall condition of machines and trucks through inspections and provide maintenance and repairs
• Diagnose issues with hydraulic and electrical systems
• Restore equipment and trucks to working order through component replacement or repairs
• Keep accurate records, handle parts orders, and manage product warranties
• Refer to operators, parts, and maintenance manuals for procedures and parts identification
• Maintain good communication with company associates and vendors
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures
• Work primarily in a shop environment, with exposure to outdoor elements

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in repairing and maintaining heavy equipment and trucks
• Proficient in using hand and power tools safely
• Experience working on a variety of heavy equipment including Komatsu backhoes, loaders, excavators, dozers, Mack dump trucks, log grinders, topsoil screeners, material conveyor machines, and other specialty construction equipment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Self-starter with the capability to handle multiple projects, supervise a crew of 2 to 3 co-workers, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Capable of lifting objects weighing up to 75 pounds and comfortable with frequent stooping, bending, and kneeling
• Solid work history with no attendance issues
• Valid driver's license with a current medical card
