We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Willoughby, Ohio. In this role, you will manage payment applications, invoicing, and problem resolution to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our accounts receivable operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in relevant software systems to contribute to the financial health of the organization. This position is fully onsite and offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:• Process and reconcile customer payments, ensuring timely application and resolution of discrepancies.
• Prepare and distribute invoices and account statements to customers while maintaining accuracy.
• Address and resolve billing issues by collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders.
• Monitor aging accounts and manage collections to reduce outstanding balances.
• Utilize credit card processing systems and accounting software to support daily operations.
• Conduct credit risk analysis using financial data to adjust customer terms as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable transactions and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Provide recommendations for write-offs of uncollectible accounts and report on delinquent balances.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and aging summaries.
• Assist with additional finance-related tasks as required by the team.• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in finance or accounting is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related field.
• Proficiency in Infor software and credit card processing systems such as Orbital.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with customers and internal teams.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated accountability and attention to detail in financial tasks.
