Sales Associate

Our Sales Associates provide exceptional care to all of our valued guests and are able to achieve personal sales goals while helping the team reach its objectives. Our Sales Associates have a passion for fashion, an openness to learn, excellent communication skills and a desire to be the best. Dillard's will provide ongoing product and sales training to help our Sales Associates exceed their goals.

A Sales Associate has the primary responsibility of achieving stated sales goals while providing the highest standards of customer service and courtesy; plus additional duties, assigned or apparent, which must be accomplished in order to meet this responsibility. Additional duties may include merchandising and restocking merchandise, completing price changes and maintaining department housekeeping standards. A high level of attendance and punctuality is required.

Physical Demands of a Sales Associate

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment including evenings, weekends and holidays

· Ability to stand for lengthy and continuous periods totaling up to 8 hours per day to assist in customer selection, merchandising, re-stocking and maintaining assigned area.

· Ability to lift at least 10lbs on a regular basis depending on department assigned.

· Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, squatting, kneeling, crouching and some climbing to stock and retrieve merchandise.

· Some unpacking and packing of materials are required when restocking

· There may be moving and setting up of displays and other events taking place

· Assist in merchandising and re-stocking all products on the floor in showcases and cabinets every morning and as needed throughout the day

· Requires ability to operate a computer terminal, as well as grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, listening, hearing, speaking, and visual acuity.

· Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of interacting with coworkers and customers.

· Vision occurs continuously in the process of merchandising, and interaction with customers.

· Requires manual dexterity to perform product demonstrations with customers.

· Requires a level of personal hygiene conducive to close personal contact.

If, at the time of termination, I am for any reason indebted to Dillard's, whether for merchandise, cash advances, withdrawals, or otherwise, I agree that Dillard's shall have the right to make the necessary deductions and withhold from any remuneration or from any reimbursement to which I may be entitled, an amount sufficient to fully cover and completely pay for all of my indebtedness to Dillard's. I also hereby agree that in no event shall Dillard's be liable for any loss or damage to my clothing or my personal property. In consideration of Dillard’s agreeing to consider my Application, I agree that effective on my submission of this Application, Dillard’s and I shall be entitled to the benefits of and mutually agree to become subject to Dillard’s RULES OF ARBITRATION (the “Rules”). The Rules will apply to any Legal Claim which may arise out of the application process or over Dillard’s failure or refusal to offer me employment.
