Project Scheduler - GE
Belcan is looking for an Open Plan Project Scheduler with 2+ years of experience. This is a direct, full-time position with full benefits. Great matching candidates will have technical program/project management experience, can build and maintain detailed project plans for engineering projects, and are effective users of an enterprise grade project planning tool (e.g. Deltek Open Plan, Microsoft Project). You will be working with engineers, project managers, and cost account managers on the next generation of jet engine design programs. Job Duties:
- Provide timely and accurate communication of reports to GE business leaders on critical schedule metrics and milestones.
- WBS and IMS Planning, Baseline Management to include Budget Change Requests (BCRs), Schedule Change Requests (SCRs), Administrative Change Requests (ACRs), and QBD Updates.
- Create or support the creation of Monthly Schedule Metrics (Critical Path, Program Health etc.,)
- Perform schedule analysis, including risk/opportunities, and support Control Account Managers (CAMs) with monthly analysis, such as Schedule Variance Analysis, Actions Items and 30-60-90 day lookahead.
- Be the liaison between Technical Leads, PMs, and other GE personnel to gather and understand the status to perform Schedule updates via Open Plan.
- Support the creation of a Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA)s or other risk management tracking activities as needed or requested.
- Generate additional metrics / reports as required such as creation of views for CAMs, code creation for hardware, Health Checks, Critical Path Analysis for Program Manager, and Status spreadsheets.
- Education: Associate degree in a recognized engineering field from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of project scheduling or project management experience.
- Proficiency in Deltek Open Plan, or similar.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Highly organized, detailed oriented.
- Ability to work independently and with team.
- Some technical, or mechanical background is preferred. Emphasis on experience working with Engineers.
- Due to the nature of the work being done all applicants must be U.S. Citizen.
